Question Is 205/45/R17 fine for a 17x7 wheel?

I usually go w/ 215/40/R17 for my 17x7 wheel. But I'm switching tire-brands. The next closest size is 205/45/R17. Would that be fine for a 7" wide wheel?

Thanks, in-advance!

close enough it's not gonna matter... what the hell tire company doesn't make a 215/40-17... it's one of the most popular sizes out there...

Yea, I was kinda taken aback that Bridgestone's Potenza RE050A Pole Position doesn't come in a 215/40/R17!

Nonetheless, thanks for the affirmation. I'll probably go and place the order for the 205/45/R17!

Ah, just get the standard re050a... They just don't make the pole position version... I haven't ever noticed a difference between the two...

5mm difference is not that noticeable., actually its better because is thicker, it will add comfort but it will make your rims a little smaller.
