Help me choose a tire
These tires are going on a 2006 GS 300. The big consideration for me is tire noise and, if I am going to have to be replacing these tires every 20K miles, I would rather keep the $$$ on the low side. Don't mind spending $ on tires that will last to 30-40K but yearly replacement can get pricey. I'm averaging about 18k miles a year.
OH ya --- tire size is 225/50R 17
Ok my choices are:
Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 - 164 ea
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S - 193 ea
Bridgestone Potenza A/S pole position RE960 - 187 ea
Bridgestone Potenza RE040 - 165 ea

I just replaced my Dunlops after 28,000 miles ...
The Michelin Pilots Sport A/S are SUPER! My hubby is a Mercedes fan and he couldn't believe how much the tires improved the performance.

Don't forget the Goodyear Response Edge. I replaced the crappy stock Yoko's at 15k miles due to the excessive noise with these Goodyears. They have been a superb all-season tire that does not lack in performance. They are very quite as well!!!!!!!!!! Check out Tire Rack ($141) and Discount Tires ($157) for the reviews on these tires.

Armand, you being in Calif, I would double what MadDawg350 recommand. The Goodyear Response Edge got a really good rating from tire rack as far as noise and comfort is concerned, you cant beat the Goodyear Response Edge when you compare other tires dollar to dallar.

I ended up going with the Goodyear Eagle Resondedge tires. Right price
($154.00 ea), they look good, and have a 50k mileage warranty (pretty rare to find a low pro tire with a mileage warranty). Since I won't be taking any hairpin turns in this thing I'm hoping they'll do the job.
I will review them after I clock a few miles with them.
