Probably a dumb question but what exactly is offset? I know I have seen numbers like +45 but what does that mean?

in my humble and honest opinion, i think enkei are good quality japanese rims. but, i would most likely place them on smaller cars.
just a personal preference, i like rims such as work/weds/some rays, hre, and lowenharts on cars like the gs/sc/ls...
