Tire size to replace run flats.
I need to replace the tires on my 2007 GS 450h. Dunlop run flat P245/40R18.
What size would work in a regular tire.
Also any recommendations for brand of tire?

So is it possible to replace to the traditional tires with the OEM rims? Is it possible to fix a run flat tire with a screw on it? Mine is Dunlop SP5000 DSST 225/50VR17. If they can be replaced to the traditional tires, any recommendations for brands?

It is possible to replace with regular tires as long as you are aware you won't have the run flat capability. Most run flat tire manufacturers do not recommend repairing them. I recommended the Bridgestone in my last post.

Curious to know why you like this tire (Bridgestone RE960 A/S). I read the sticky at the top.
In a comparison test on your site, the results are very close, but it came in 4th of 4 tires tested.

Your rankings are different?
In any case, what is your recommendation in 225-50/17 for an all-season tire that when snow/ice/slush traction is the top priority, with noise and comfort tied for 2nd priority?
