Default Tirerack held my order!

I've searched the "winter tire" threads on the forum, so I think I know the answer, but...

I just ordered a set of four 225/40-18s (Dunlop Winter Sport 3D) to put on some winter rims. Tirerack customer service called today saying that same size all around on a 350 with a staggered setup OEM would cause problems . Not having a taller tire in the rear will supposedly trigger the traction control continuously and keep the car from running properly.

Is anyone out there driving a RWD 350 with same size all around winter tires? Is it a problem or is Tirerack just jumping through a legal liability hoop?

I'm surprised you found a winter set up for a 350.If you put in a 350 in the request boxes, you get nothing.
On other forums I've read that some 350 owners go with 17" winter tires and rims.

i ran 17 all around and do have a larger tire in the rear. tire rack is correct in what they are telling you. i would also go with a 17" for the winter and not an 18"...you want them to help and not for looks IMO...

Ended up settling with the following setup: 225/40-18 in front, 225/45-18 in rear.

I got 245 40 18s in the rear - the Dunlop 3D and they called me. I told them I already have 225 40 18 snowsport 240's up front so they sent my order. So far, I gotta say, the 245 40 18s 3D Dunlops are awesome.
