Why is this tire special order everywhere? I tried several locations of various tire dealers here in Metro Atlanta and they all quoted me ridiculous prices on this tire. Some places couln't even get the tire at all. I offered to purchase them on the Internet and have them put them on my car and They want to charge me twice what it would cost if they put them on!!!

WHY?

I did end up striking a deal at one place and they'll have them on my car tomorrow...

From what I've been seeing, everyone likes the performance Yok AVSdb, so that's why the demand is high and supply low.

Shops may charge more for installing tires you bring in vs. those bought from them because they would not have profited from the sale of the tires, hence they add cost + profit for mounting, balancing, etc.

that is why i have been a loyal costco member for the past 15 years...i order the tyres from the RACK, and bring them to costco for lifetime mounting and balance+free flat repair, for $9/tyre....and they do not charge the so-called $1-2/tyre disposal fee
