Default Light weight wheel suggestions

I would like help with any suggestions on light weight wheels. I am becoming sick of rolling around on 20's and decided to get 18's with a bigger sidewalls (besides, if I decide to hit the track, it will help with the handling too). I have narrowed my down to Volk, SSR, and I have even been told to consider 5 Zigen. I am looking at widths of 9.5 and 10.5. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

all 3 companies have some light weight forged 1 piece wheels that are very light. back in the days when the z first came out, a lot of people went with the volk te37, very light weight and i like the design too

It looks like you are on the right track. Most any forged lightweight wheel will be worth your money.

Anything cast and lightweight will not mix well as casting generates a less consistent composition than forging, and lightweight inconsistent composition is a recipie for wheel damage in due time.

You might also check out this massive database of wheel weights online: http://www.wheelweights.net/

6061 Aluminum forged at T6 or higher should be more than sufficient for a lightweight wheel.

Buddy Club QF Wheels are rather "boy racey", but they are terribly light. Personally, I am a fan of AME Circlar RS Wheels. They have massive lips, forged barrels, decent width/offset selection, and are quite light. Anything from Fikse, HRE, and CCW should do the trick as well.
