Were the other tire replaced because something was wrong w/ the tires?
What did the tire shop say, if theywere not able to find a leak/hole in the tires then it has to be something irregular along the ream keeping it from properly sealing or the valve stem.

If the same right rear is going flat w/ the 16's on Then I agree w/ 240sxer

make sure the rim and tires are properly sealed??

If it is getting flat...the air has to be leaking...you gotta bring it to a shop and they have to find where it's leaking...

Since it deflates slowly..I think its the area in between the rim and tire that is having air escape

Could be number of things,
Improper seal (due to install or faulty (bent) rim), valve stem leak, or simply a hole caused by road shrapnel. A tire store will be able to find this out for you.

Default Continuous Air Lose

LMoney4o8, I came across a topic in Popular Mechanics, a few year ago that mentioned air leaking out from the rim. Small pin holes form on the inner portion of the alloy rim. The only why to fix this problem is by using a type of sealant, not worth the trouble if you ask me. This link below talks about similar topic.

As an experiment you might want to switch the rear left and right wheels and see if the same tyre deflates on the other side of the car. If not then it would point to someone letting the air out on that side of the car.
