01 Gs430 20 inch Offset Question
Hey everyone so I got a 2001 GS430. So i'm looking to get a 20' setup - 8.5 or 9 up front, and 10 or 11 in the back. So my question is what offset would I have to go with to get the largest lip possible all the way around?? While keeping the wheels flush with the fenders... Please if there is any one who knows this information please let me know cuz I've tried my hardest to find the answer and I just can't get it... Thanks!!
p.s.- would these work?

those offsets won't work for the GS really, as they're pretty much for the g35/350z. they have the same bolt pattern as the GS, so the vendor thinks they're interchangeable.
and you're really asking for the non-existent holy grail answer to wheel fitment for the GS. Rominl has a GS wheel fitment guide that will tell you a good amount of info, though i don't think his guide takes fender rolling or inner-lip shaving into account (if you're really looking for flush and will work/pay for it)
and an 11" rear for the GS is a bit too much...go with a 10" or 10.5" if you must

Looks like they have a choice of offsets:
Front 25 or 38
Rear 25 or 38
+38 is definitely a slam-dunk on the GS, but would not be
what I would call "flush with the fenders" at all.
Plenty of others have used lower offsets like the +25 listed
(or even lower)., even ranging into the +15 range.
Depending on the tire size and brand, the lower offsets will likely
require fender modifications, not really that big of a deal considering
how much better a set-up like this looks.
As far as width, an 11" can easily fit the rear of the 2GS with
no fender mods given the perfect offset.
For what it's worth, my GS has 20x9.5" front and 20x11.5" rear wheels.
Unless you're getting custom wheels made, there is little likelyhood
that you'll be able to request an offset outside of a wheel manufacturer's
pre-set offset choices, especially on a one-piece wheel. I don't know
of any wheel manufacturers that make an 11" wheel for the rear of
the GS that is "off the shelf."
Are people still buying chrome wheels?
