Offset for 16 inch wheels for GS?

Offset for 16 inch wheels for GS?
I know the factory 2nd GS 16" wheels are 50 offset 16X7.5.
Would it be possible to fit a 16X6.5 +40 or even 16X8 30 offset? I'm wondering what the lowest offset will fit with a 225 wide tire. I'm eying all sorts of crazy setups like RX7 or Skyline wheels for the lightest possible 16's possible. Thanks
