Default Please Help!

Hi,

I wasn't paying attention and long story short bent a front rim pretty bad.
....Darn curb ran right across the road.

SSR Agle Strusse (Silver) 18 x 8.5 (I will post the offset later have to go pick up the rim from the shop and read the inside sticker. possibly 37mm)

After sending it out for repair, it came back as not reparable.

Dang.!

I'm now trying to find an exact replacement.

Rod Millen used to sell these. Their web site doesnt even have Lexus stuff anymore.

I left my info with Luis at Carlson Toytoa.
Apparently they have some contact with SSR Japan,
Unfortunately these guys are all at SEMA this week and I won't have any info even if this wheel is available until next week.

Left a voice mail at F1 Motorsports in LA.

Please help me find someone that can order this wheel for me.

Thanks!

It Ain't looking good fellas.

This wheel is over 7 years old.

SSR went Bankrupt.....in 2005? WTF!?

Anyways the things you learn.

What are my options outside of 4 new rims and possibly 4 new tires?

Try sending a picture of your rim to http://www.wheelcollision.com/lexus2.htm to confirm that it is not repairable. They are supposed to be very good here on the east coast.

Well I have to say that this site is gold as usual.
I did a few quick searches and based on the reviews decided to drop the wheel at http://www.wheeltechniques.com/

I knew from the posts that there was customer response issues and judging from the zoo i saw at the shop, (lots of customers not enough workers) I could see how they have a hard time keeping up.

I'll give you a few examples.
-----Begin Rant------
Keep in mind because I knew ahead of time that this was going to be the case i kept my expectations low.

Called ahead asked if they are open Saturday.
Guy responds "yes, we should be there from 9:30 to Noon"
SAT. Hang out for a few hours went for lunch came back Nobody there. I didn't feel to bad during the time I was there five or six potential customers pulled up waited with me asked me what the deal was. I said didn't know but hoped they would open up soon. never did.

Dropped the rim on on Monday. Was told be ready by Friday $240. Brake down a 3piece rim. fix. polish. assemble.mount.balance

All my Calls go something like this.
"
You have invoice 12345?"
"Hold, No it's not ready. call back later."
or
"No I don't see it call you later."
Friday called about 4 times told Monday
Monday called about 5 times told Tuesday.
Tuesday called about 4 times received the rim.
---END RANT---

RIM looks beautiful.
Considering how jacked up it was they did a gorgeous job polished out all the curb and bends and did a proper balance on the tire.

I just finished a few hours of highway and no wobble or shake.

I don't have any before or after picks but now i definitely need to get my three other rims polished out like this.

Again very happy with the result from
