Default Opinion Falken FK452 Tires 245/40ZR19 on 19x10R pls

guys, i need wheel/tire expert to tell me if it's OK to get this tire : Falken FK452 Tires 245/40ZR19 for my 19x10R rims ? I'm planning to drop it 1.5".

I was searching around and seems like most people prefer to use 270/30 for their 19" rims. Any different with 245/40 ?

Thanks!

The only reason you'd want to go with a 245 on 10" width rim is to run a stretched set-up to accommodate a really aggressive fitment.

a 245 is a significant stretch and i sure as hell wouldn't do it, though its quite possible some on here have done it for wheel fitment purposes. a 255 is occassional, and you're definitely right that a 275/30 or 285/25 is very common due to proper width and sidewall/circumference

the drop isn't significant, so why such a thin tire on a wide wheel?

FK452 runs wide. It won't be much of a stretch on 19x10.

what's the offset of the rims? are you fenders rolled/shaved at all? those things will take into factor if you need to stretch or not.

275 is good, if your offset was in the 20's then I'd go with the 245.

275 will remain 275, that's the width of the tire. The height of the sidewall is the only thing that changes.

Look at the chart below:

275/30/19 = an outer diameter of 25.6"

275/35/19 = an outer diameter of 26.6

As you can see for yourself, 1" is only a minimal difference in height.

Why falkens? There are better tires. I prefer Nitto 555. Falkens side walls split on me, on 2 tires and wear fast. Nitto also has a better rim protector and better looking sidewall.IMO
