Question about gold finish on Brembo Sport Drilled Rotors

Does anyone know if the gold finish eventually fades away? I'm not sure if I'm crazy about having a gold finish on the rotors behind a set of high polished wheels.

The gold cad plating will completely wear off where the brake pads touch. The other parts will slowly fade, but not really wear completely away. It will never stay the nice bright gold color for long. Eventually, I sanded mine off and repainted the rotor hats a nice silver.
