Default What kind of polish and wax to use on black wheels?

I have black 20's on my car. What can I use to bring out the shine of the paint? I know the wheels get hot after driving, that's why I don't know what kind of products to use. Thanks all in advance for your help.

You can treat the wheels just like you would the finish of your vehicle. A mild paint polish will bring out the shine, and a good sealant will protect the wheels. I don't recommend wax as it's just not durable enough to provide protection for any length of time. For a dedicated product, I've found Poorboy's wheel sealant to be really good. You can also use paint sealants - Klasse AIO, Menzerna FMJ, and Four Star UPP work great on wheels.

thanks, so I can just buy any OTC polish? Any of the sealants you recommended is available at a local store? I have never seen poorboy's products at a store before.

The products I mentioned are 'boutique' brands. Lots of online vendors carry those lines. A web search will yield dozens of names, but for what it's worth my two favorites are www.exceldetail.com and www.detailersdomain.com.

For OTC stuff I'd probably recommend Meguiar's or Mother's paint polish and Meguiar's NXT, which is a combo wax/sealant.
