Bridgestone RE050 Pole Position
Eagle F1-GS D3 (this is the only goodyear tire that I like)
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Yoko Advan Sport (though this may not be as quiet as you like)
Bridgestone RE960AS < the quietest of the bunch
I like the BFG KDW's, but they aren't what some consider quiet (they don't bother me at all, but going by your wants, I wouldn't recommend them)

I had the Eagles - loud and dronning - you do not want this tire! I'm currently running the Advan Sports. Pretty quiet, especially compared to the GY Eagle. I've read that the Toyo's are very quiet - I will probably do a set of these next.

Yes, they were the GY Eagle F1 GS-D3. I bought them because of all the great reviews on them and especially due to people saying they are quiet. The were vrey noisy and they tramalined like crazy. These were size 245-40-18 on my GS400. I was so happy to get rid of them. The Advan Sports are worlds better!!!

I have only had the Bridgestone RE-960's for 4K miles but I don't think I have ever been happier with a tire. Wet weather traction is killer and they are pretty quiet for a Z rated tire and if they get anywhere near the 40-45K miles I will never look back. The advertising is that they maintain their traction and quietness over the life of the tire but I can't speak from experience about that one yet.
