Trouble Installing Wheels
Hey guys, I bought these wheels and they will go on but they don't fit right because of the disk brake/caliper. It is right against it. Two wheels fit perfect but the other two are giving problems. I bought spacers for them but the lug/screws are too small and dont have the tread to catch on to so they will not screw on. ANY IDEAS.. THIS MAYBE A EASY QUESTION TO MOST OUT THERE!
I have a pic of the wheels they are AXIS.

wheels not clearing brakes requires a spacer (or new wheels). spacers not allowing for six full turns of the lugs requires longer wheel studs. longer wheel studs and spacers still prefer hubcentricity. spacers without a hub ring risk shearing the lug bolts: bad news.
You need longer lug bolts.
Go to Autozone or PepBoys and pick them up. They should have the proper thread gauging on file for our cars.

So basically I could start over fresh.

2. ?
3. ?

If you want to stick with the wheels you have, I would order H&R hubcentric spacers to make everything as safe as possible. They come with longer studs so you don't have to worry about sourcing them. Allsprings.com has the best prices in the country on H&R stuff.
If you did not get centering rings with your wheels, I would order them too. Our center bore is 60.1mm. Any wheel shop should be able to get you these cheaply. The centering ring is basically a thin metal disc that adapts the wheel to properly sit on the hub of your car as oppossed to resting on the lugs themselves.
If you want to stick with you current wheels, order the H&R spacers and get centering rings. This will ensure the safest installation.
Notice the hub center in the middle of the spacer: this makes H&R's spacers as safe as possible...
