Can the stock GS 17" wheels fit on the 96-97 Maxima?

Default Can the stock GS 17" wheels fit on the 96-97 Maxima?

Hi guys,

Does anyone of you guys know if the stock GS 17" wheels can fit on the 96-97 Maxima without any mods?

I think you may have a better luck at Maxima's board. Be sure to post the spec of your rims, offset and bolt pattern.

My stock 17's are on a Maxima right now.... There are three people in Austin right now with the GS 17's on Maximas....They all used a machine shop to bore the center of the wheel a few mm's to fit the nissan hub....Super easy mod and super cheap....
BTW, those wheels look GREAT on the Max.....

Hey Tinygs,

If the person doesn't care about the center logo, does the wheels require other modification prior to fitting?

Not at all. You only need to bore the hub to match the Nissan hub.(VERY easy) All three people that I know who have done this simply found other(blank) center caps to use....One guy left it without center cap, and IMO, his look the best of the three.... You can find silver center caps that will look/fit perfect.(search the web)
I like the raw look of the "no caps".......It looks stock, like the wheel should have come on the Max to begin with... The GS should have come with 19's to achieve the same look...heehee
