Default 17 vs. 18's

What would you guys put on your Sc's? I have a line on a set of 17 inch GS430 chrome rims and 235/45/zr17 tires. I also found a set of 18 inch Zenetti Valeo rims with 245/40/zr18 tires. The GS wheels are $150 bucks cheaper. What would you guys do?

I will be looking into it more, but I think 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5. I think 18s are the right choice, 17s are little small, but you can put bigger tires on it. I will be looking for the lightest rims possible also.

Go with something wider in the back. It will look better and you'll have better traction.

I have the gs wheels on my car, i love the wheels but hope they were a little bigger.
I think sc would look just right with 18s (ofcourse 20s wouldn't hurt either)
I'm waiting for the sc430 to come out with some better 18s so I can put it on my car. (what is up with the hub cap looking 18s?)

back to ur question.......
go with 18s

I put Miile 17x8 on both front and rear of my car and they look big for the car already. I can't imagine putting anything larger. My ride is perfectly balance. I could use 17x7.5 and it might look better, 17x8 is a little too wide. My car doesn't look like a Lexus anymore

I've got 17x8s on my car right now and I wish they were wider...

Is a Lexus supposed to look like a ******-mobile with skinny rims and tires all the way around?

17x7 rims are ricer rims in case you didn't already know... just wide diameter and skinny width since they don't make enough torque to spin such a small tire...

i think wide tires look badass and aggressive... and thats what Lexus is about... so yes 17x8s LOOK like a Lexus... 17x10s would be even more Lexier

If you're going for all show and no go I think 20s would be the best bet

For the actual "go" part... 17x9,9.5, or 10 or equivalent 18s would be great... I plan on getting a set of Supra 17s once I get my turbo just so I can throw on a set of drag radials

the gs400 rims are 17 x 8, correct? If I threw some 265's on there do you think it would look decent
