IS 18" wheels --> ES300
I am looking to sell my 18" stock wheels from my 2007 IS 350 and have an offer from someone who wants to put them on their 1998 ES 300.
I went to Discount Tire Co. here in Houston and asked them if my wheels would fit on an ES 300. They said "it depends." He said that by looking at the possible tire combinations in his computer, the front wheels + tires should fit just fine. But, because we have staggard wheels, the back ones may not fit. The wheels themselves will obviously fit but once you put the tries on them, it might scrub.
He did say that he didn't know if the wheel itself is staggared or if the wheels are the same size but the tires are different sizes. If the latter is true, it will work just fine because the person putting them on their ES300 would just use the same size tire an all 4 wheels.
So - my question is this... any idea if an 18" IS 350 wheel will fit on a 1998 ES300???

the ES has the same bolt pattern (5x114.3) and the same center hub (60.1) so the IS wheels should bolt on. The 98 ES300 can fit a 20x8.5 so the stock IS wheels should be no problem.

Not the is350 rim the rear is 9" wide. The only way to put them on is to do what i'm doing that is to buy longer studs and 12mm spacers and i'm not sure if that will work.
