Default Good all season tire

What do you guys recommend or have had good experience for a good all season tire for 17" 235/45 wheel on a GS430. I want a tire that has good tread life and is not too expensive and that will be decent for light snow/winter driving as well as rain and dry pavement. I don't need an all out super performance tire because I don't track the car or drive really aggressive but it should handle well. I am more interested in something that is going to last for awhile, not be noisy/rough, have good all season handling and not be too expensive. I have Michellan Pilot Sports on the car right now and they handle well but tread life is not good at all and they are pretty noisy and rough.

Bridgestone Turanza, RE960AS, Michelin Exalto A/S, on the cheaper Yokohama Avid H4/V4's, BFG Traction T/A's...

there are lots that fit your needs - just pick something in your price range, in your size / speed rating, and from a good manufacturer...

I think you mean 235/45 17 and I would pick the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity for the best ride and tread wear.

Sounds like we're on the same track as far as recommendations go

I saw those on tirerack and they list for $203 a tire which is really high and more then I want to pay for. The Bridgestone Pole Position tires were around $155 and seemed to get decent reviews too. Anybody have experience with those? What is it about the Serenity that makes them so expensive? I may check alternate sources for better prices if these Serenity are well worth their money and outperform the less expensive tires by a good margin. I do want them to handle well in all seasons, I just don't need a super high performance track tire.

I mis typed my tire size and will fix it, Thanks.

Pole Position = performance...

not so much of a all season tire...

the only other that would really fit your needs and be cheaper would be the RE960A/S Great tire, just not quite as good as the Serenity...

I just got a set of the RE960's last weekend but have not driven them enough to comment on wet weather (which I expect to be 10/10) but I will say they are quieter than I expected and ride well. It is hard to give much feedback with only a few hundred miles.
