Default What tire to use? Replacing tires for is350 wheel!

I need to replace 2 tires on one side of the car, and since the is350 wheels are staggered I'm not sure which tires would be a good match up to the other side. The other side both tire have barely 3k miles on them so they are basically brand new. They are both bridgestone re050. My question is what tires can I use for the other side that would be a close match up? I know re050 are pretty expensive, therefore I'm looking to find some other tires that would be close to them but a bit less expensive. Also if I get 2 tires for one side from a different brand, would the ride feel off? Thank you!

Different tires front/rear is not recommended. Handling will be quirky.

Now if you're talking about putting different tires on the left/right side of the car, that's MUCH worse. You'll be putting your life in danger. Replace all 4 or get matching tires.

very very true...

the RE050's are a great tire, well worth the money (and my next tire purchase, I might add)

I would go along with different tires front and rear, but NEVER side to side...

Imagine this - RE050, pretty much best of the best in terms of dry traction on the R/F, and a cheaper tire on the L/F - go to slam on the brakes, and the difference in traction would be similar to the difference of stopping on half wet / half dry pavement, with the traction control trying to make up for the difference, increasing stopping distances, sometimes dramatically because of the difference side to side...

I knew that, was asking if anyone knew where I can get a discounted price on them!

I know I'm in the tirerack forum, what kind of discount are they giving?
