Bulge on sidewall... Input please .
Thanks for taking the time to read this thread.
After transferring my old tires from my old rims onto my new rims. I noticed this when I came home.
My goal is to have it replaced asap. Does this look that bad? Any experiences with this?

Thanks again for the input. Rest assured the car will not be moving until tires are replaced. Going to have the tires taken off in my garage and tires replaced asap.

I replaced the 2 rear tires today. Car is back on the road!!
As for how it happens, it occurs when you hit a pothole. (I'm a very safe driver and try my hardest not to and don't recall hitting one, but sometimes it could be something even as a crack in the road.)
In this incident, the tire did protect the rim from bending but it paid the price. After they dismounted the tire, i felt the spot from the inside and wow, it was soft...

if so, did you ever get a tube that had "snake bite" where the tire pinches the tube up against the wheel?
same concept, except instead of pinching the tube, you are pinching the cords in the sidewall, the broken cords let the rubber expand...
bad part about it is that it'll sometimes last for a while, but when it fails, it's typically catastrophic - those broken cords put lots of pressure on the cords that are still in tact next to them, and when enough weaken or break, the whole sidewall fails, typically looking like someone cut the middle of the sidewall, sometimes all the way around...
