what are the pros/cons of a reversed lip?

Default what are the pros/cons of a reversed lip?

I see some wheel companys like
-Iforge
-Dpe
and others whom have reversed lips on there wheels,what is the pros and cons in this ?

i would think water would get trapped in teh middle of the wheel well and cause shaking or at the least thow off the alighnment due to this .

anyways im asking to learn

pros - allows deeper dish
cons - none, other than when mounting, the face is towards the ground putting it in dangers way of the clamps on the wheel mounting machine - not a bad thing if the tech knows what they are doing, but definitely not for the noob tire changer..

its all a matter of preference. no cons except that wheels with deeper lips tend to crack or bend if you hit them hard enough in a pothole ect.

true definition - a weel that has the "drop center" towards the backside of the wheel instead of the frontside... the drop center is the depressed area in the wheel that is used to give some slack to the tire in order to mount it... almost every wheel with a 2" or better lip will have to be reverse mount, as a tire simply won't stretch more than that to mount...
