Default Thoughts on 18 vs. (19 or 20) please (on 1st Gen LS400)

I know everyone has their own preferences, so I'll be upfront in stating what my priorities are.

I have a fully functional factory air suspension. The ride quality right now is just amazing. I will be adding a suspension ride height controller soon (to lower), strut tower bar, urethane bushings, and likely ADDCO rear sway bar as well, as my goal is to maintain the signature Lexus ride quality while improving handling and responsiveness and looks without making the ride *harsh*.

Was thinking of going to 18s initially, since I had heard that 18s do not terribly degrade the ride quality. However, I do love the look of 20s on this car. Just looks good!

So the question is: how harsh a ride is it on 20s? Is 19 a good compromise of ride quality and "the look", or is 18 the limit for maintaining ride quality? I don't need grandpa-smooth ride, and am willing to accept a firmer ride, but again, *not harsh*.

Thanks!

from 18 to 19, there is a very "slight" difference. I would definetly want the 19's over the 18's.
But to go from 18's to 20's or more, you will definetly notice a difference in ride. (harder) less rubber lower profile = you feel more.

with 19's you should be safe. a little sportier look, not sacraficing the ride...

Jace--you're in Colorado too! Thanks for the tip--our roads round here aren't too bad (Routt County), and I have a dedicated set of winter snows.
