Default Bridgestone Tires..Ouch....

I had purchased Bridgestone Tires S-03 Pole Position tires from Tire Rack back in October. I drove to California from Oklahoma Right after i put them on and Everything seemed fine. I have them on the Rear Wheels and Tire size is 273/30/19. Well i got caught in the ice storm on the way back last weekend and Wow is all i can say. My whole trip to cali and back , the tires were smooth and perfect. Untill i hit the ice that is. I drove 5,300 miles give or take and now my Rear tires are worn all the way down to the WIRES...WTF is all i can say about that. I guess after driving in the ICE, the tires just kept spinning and spinning wearing out the Tread. I didnt relize it untill yesterday since i havent driven my car since then. I called up TIRERACK seeing if they could do something about it and they said nothing i can do...Now how can a tire wear out after 5,000 miles. The front are prefectly fine. Ok yeah i might have a lil camber but i mean cmon. I driven plenty of Lowered cars and never had this happend before. I never knew ICE could be such an impact on tires. Ill take pics so you can see what im talking about. And when i say i drove on ice. it was ICE, ROAD, ICE, ROAD...ICE..All the way from TEXAS to Oklahoma City. going 10-15 MILES an hour....Is there anything i can do to maybe get a new set of tires, even a discount of some sort....

no clue. I actually talked with Mason at TireRack and he thought there might be something they could do. Not complertely sure though, but that wear is very abnormal, and although they don't insure the tread life/wear, I would definelty stay on top of that.
If you are being truthful and you weren't just peeling out and taking turns at 60 mph and stuff, I would argue your point if it's truthful that is not right....
I would take pictures, save your reciepts and such.
Let us know what happens.
Also how long have you had those tires? date of purchase?.... b/c I think Bridgestone has a 30 day trial.... not sure though..

S03's are a very soft compound tire, they arent going to last long at all. I have had several set and 5-10K miles is about all you should expect.

I guess I do have a little more torque than the average commuter car.

wow...i had 245-35-20 & 285-30-20 Bridgestone S-03s on my G35C. when i bought them, the shop owner said they probably will only last about 7-8K miles. i got 19,3xx miles on the rear tires and the fronts still had plenty of tread. i've owned about 5 sets of bridgestone tires and all of them have been awesome.
