Default 1998 LS400 Factory Rim Offset?

Hello all,

I have a quick question for which an answer would be much appreciated.

I have to get snow tires for my 2003 LS430 and I would rather not use my factory rims.

A guy at work has some factory rims from the 1998 LS400 with 225/65/16 Michelin Alpins (allegedly only 1,000 km on them) for $650 Canadian (about $575 US).

Will this work? Is the offset of the 1998 at least 45mm? Will the size of the tire and rim fit in the wheel well? Will it throw the speedometer off?

Again, any and all answers are appreciated and graciously accepted.

Take care.

Factory 1998 5 spokes are 16x7 45mm. Supposedly all big caliper LS wheels are interchangable.

Hi LS400.1,

Thank you for the information. I ended up bailing on the wheels as I didn't want to have the retro look on my LS430.

I'm going to just new Pilot Alpin PA2's when the weather gets crappy here in Toronto (can I say 'crappy'?).

Kind regards,

T.J. "NorthLS"
