Default Stretched tires question

Okay.....I ordered a set of Modular Society forged wheels for my 06 GS300, I wanted to know what size tires I need to run to get the stretched look. I'm running 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rears. Im planning to slam the car down to no gap, but not tuck the tires under.

Also, is it safe to run stretched tires. I live in Hawaii, and we have potholes galore.

Any feedback is appreciated.

The reason why people stretch their tire is to reduce the thickness of the sidewall so that they can push the wheel out. This is done to gain more width, lip size or both. So running a conservative wheel size and offset might not produce you the look that you wanted. Also, stretching tire on a 20x8.5 might not be possible. You are going to need (at the most) a 215 tire size to get a very mild stretch, but at the same time a 215 might not handle the load of the car (and I don't even know if a tire like that exist).

If you really want a stretch look your tires, you might want to rethink the wheels size you're getting. Maybe a 20x9.5 and 20x11 would be a better choice.

And if you're worried about pothole, the stretched tires might not be for you.
