Can I get wider tires?
Hey guys, I have 245/35/19 tires stretched on my rears and it's time to replace them. Right now I have maybe an inch between the fender and the tire. My question is, if I removed the plastic piece on the rim of the fender, do you think I could fit a wider tire (like 275/30/19) without fender work. I'm tired of the stretched tire look. Thanks ahead for your input guys!

it's all about the off-set on your wheels....all my SC has 19x10 on the back, and got 275/30/19 tires on them.....i didn't have to remove any trim or roll any part of the rear fender....NOTHING....everything bolts right on and clear everything....and perfect flush even......
so you gotta find out what's your offset, i have 38+ off-set for the rear on all my cars....

Offset does play a part, but the suspension setup is also a determining factor. I have 285/40/17s on the rear and I just put on some Tein Flex coilovers. Before with the stock suspension there was no chance that it would rub. Now with the coilovers if I go any lower than what they are currently set at it will rub.

I don't have a very aggressive offset on the back, but combined with my Espelir springs you can only fit my Lexus key vertically between the tire and the fender. That's exactly how much room there is right now. I'm just deciding whether to go with the same size tire or not. It's looking like I'm stuck. Guess I'd save myself a few bucks by stretching again.
