Brand new brakes shake???????
I just had new Brembo drilled and slotted rotors installed. The car is shaking like mad when I apply the brakes. I have one month old Ceramic pads.
Do the brand new performance brakes shake for a little bit wearing in or should they be perfect from the get go?
The stock rotors did not shake.

They shouldn't shake out fo the box. Are you sure those are Brembo?? I thought all brembos are goldish in color. Did you get those from Irotors.com???
I think also that you have them on backwards..........

I was fishing a little bit.....Cause if they were and the internal directional vanes were going the wrong way...then that could cause overheating/warpage. Hence your vibration.

From the factory, Brembo's that are drilled only come gold in color, but they do sell the silver blanks to other companies who drill / slot them and resell them.
OLT, what process did you use to bed the new brakes? Did you do front/rear?
And how did you tighten your lugnuts (by hand with a torque wrench is the right answer)?

Direct from Brembo:
"Additionally, all of Brembo's slotted discs are directional as well, regardless of the vane geometry. The discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the disc contacts the pad first. Please see figure."
So it looks like I do know what I'm talking about. Good luck

They are labeled RIGHT and LEFT on the rotor, looks like they are on as prompted by the label. The brake shop installed them. That's why I said I had them installed, I am not gonna mess with something like this... I wanna live....lol. They shook immediately, not warped from heat. The second I hit the road and hit the brakes.
Maybe the direction causes vibration?
I am going to go and have my pads inspected tomorrow.

where did you get these from? and where were they installed?
I just recently got some cross drilled/slotted from irotors and installed them myself. they work great w/ no problems.
are these on your IS? make sure the shop installed them properly. Last time I had a shop do mine they forgot to put on a couple bolts back in and it shook.. I figured it out and luckily had no problems but was very pissed.. I learned my lesson and just do it myself now.

I just mounted up my rotors from irotors and some metal master pads. I bought the drilled slotted brembos blanks. I mounted them the other direction -- from what I read online. \\\\ claw forward.
I have had no vibration so far, but have not bedded them yet either.

Well since the shop refuses to turn the rotors, I wrote the seller of the brakes and got this in my inbox less than 30 minutes later.
Provided I have a new set of rotors in the mail and on my doorstep in a few days I'll post this users ebay ID because of excellent service.
Hi. I'm sorry to hear the rotors are warped. The post office probably drop the package. I'll get another front set shipped out asap. Please keep the other set of rotors to use later. The drilled rotors can be turned because I've turned my rotors before. Also, once in a while I'll get the same problem with a different customer, all they did was turned the rotors, and it fixed the problem.

just FYI, slotted rotors are supposed to be mounted "claw forwad" with the leading outer edge facing the front of the car.
sounds like the rotors werent balanced in the machine properly when they were cut after having the holes drilled and the clots cut. this would give excessive lateral runout in one direction and make it feel like the rotors were warped.
