Default 18" Summer Tires

With almost 5000 miles, my stock 18" summer tires still feel great. Question is: will they hold up for the rainy season ahead? I'm in Southern Cal, where it rarely rains. But when it rains, especially the first few drops....the roads are slippery from all the oil that accumulated from the dry spell of summer/fall. Anyone switched to all-season tires? Do you recommend a specific brand? Or will the summer tires work wonders during the rainy season. I just want to be safe.

i have been driving on summer tires on my gs400, is300, and sc430 for more than 4 yrs. i am in both norcal and socal, and never a problem. granted it's more slippery in rainy days, but i think that's the case even if you go with all season tires anyway.

unless it's snow, i think summer tires are just fine in socal rain.

Agreed with rominl.

Summer tires handle the rain fine.
