Default Screwdriver to Wheels...

So, I take my car into the dealer for its 65k checkup. When I got my invoice back, noticed that they have brake measurements. Hmm...that means they took off my wheels to inspect. Now, I have recently mounted my 18 dishes, complete with a faceplate.... I look around, and noticed that THEY TOOK A FLATHEAD TO PRY LOOSE THE FACEPLATE!!!! nice little dig marks on the side...black finish, so it really shows....

Anything I can do besides live and learn? You would think a nice car shop would recognize nice stuff when they see and take extra care to remove stuff....but alas....Asses =(

I'd say something as soon as possible and tell them what you would like to have done. Be cool about it, and if no results, try http://www.consumermanitoba.ca/complain.html for some possible approaches.

Sometimes it just needs to get to the right person to get action, but timeliness is important because the longer you wait, the more they believe other things could have occured to cause the damage.

GL, let us know how it goes.

Ya

I'm going back in today to see them to show them the damage. Although after a day of perspective, its minor damage, it is still there. They could have completely avoided this issue if they had just called me to ask how to remove the faceplate..but instead they tried to brute force the thing. As for repair...I don't know...I have no idea how to even ask for repair money, or how much. I might just let it go after I vent to them, but maybe they'll offer something. One of my friends told me to ask for the cost of a single wheel replacement..but i doubt Lexus would go for that.
