Default Should I buy these wheels? (Am I compromising too much?)

Unfortunately, I'm on a budget. And that means I have to make compromises. I can't afford the perfect set of wheels. However, i've finally decided on a set that I really love. Work Equips in chrome To allow these to fit into my budget, I decided on getting them used through companies like MemoryFab etc.

Well I found a set that are very reasonable priced, but I have to give up a lot:

1) They're 18" instead of 19
2) The offsets suck.. NO lip action
3) No tires (not a huge deal, I'm more worried about the above 2)

18 x 8.5 + 53
18 x 9.5 + 53

Here's a link:

What do you guys think? Could you live with these compromises? If I only had to live with one of the above compromises, I think this decision would be a lot easier. But no lip + living with 18's kind of sucks.

I love these wheels :

Those are 20" equips I'm not sure I'll be able to acheive the look I want if I go with 18" wheels.

I plan to get a set of the JIC FLT A2s, so I'll be able to get the drop, but if I decide to go with a body kit later on (hopefully the Anceltion) , the kit may sit too low to achieve the drop I want for the wheels if I go with 18". Those are my concerns. Perhaps someone else can chime in..

If not the equips, I'd be very happy with a set of the EuroLine SL's..

DON'T DO IT!!

Save a little more for a decent set of wheels. If the Work Equip style is what you're going for, then check out Sevas wheels. They have the S-Star which looks quite similar to the Work Equips. They're one piece staggered and they look awesome! Oh and the price ain't half bad either

Here's a picture of the Sevas S-Star in chrome

Thats a pretty nice looking wheel. How much do they run and how much do they weigh? The equips are a 3 pc forged, so how does the strength of the Sevas compare? I might just wait around for a set of 19" equips to be sold.. I keep checking the classifies and all the other sources.

Ill be honest with you, I've brought used wheels and I would rather have a set of 1pc cast wheels that have never been mounted, then 3pc wheels that have been through god knows what.

The sevas would prob be a great solution for your budget and wheel design request.

Shoot me a price qoute request 19" staggered= 3" rear lip

With these specs, and then looking at our LS430, you are actually deceiving yourself because it will not look anything like it. The specs are so conservative that they will be sunken WAY in, and also when you lower and add a kit it will be worse.

As others have referenced, get a decent set of MRR's, etc because to get big name wheels that are all beat up and fit like crud are not going to do you any good!

Good luck overall man

he is right on every account. Also, the are DDC lip so they are not as pleasing to the eye as the newer Equips. You would need some huge spacers so they wouldn't be so sunk. Keep looking

Default SAVE Save SAVE

I made the mistake once of buying wheels just because I didn't want to wait and was highly disappointed. Take the time and get what you really want. It'll give you a good feeling inside when you get to your goal! Go with 20's, they'll look off thee heez man!
