Default Michelin Pilot Sports finally got em

Have about 17k miles on my 04. Went in to get my snow tires changed for my Dunlop run flats at the dealer. Sadly they called me back to the back of the shopand pointed out that the rear two run flats had bare spots on the inside fifth of the tire!!! Why? They said that the tires are very sensitive to alignment. Less than 8-10k miles on those tires! Would have charged me $360 just to change out the snow tires for the run flats. Quoted $1500 installed for Michelin Pilot Sports!! Went to Tire Rack and they cost me just above $1000 shipped to a very good installer in town. He will charge me about $100. I saved $400. Don't know why I put up with the absurd costs and the run flats for so long.

BTW, literally a couple of minutes after ordering the tires on Tire Rack, I got a call from a very knowledgeable man there confirming that I did not want run flats instead. Then he congratulated me on having a sweet ride in the SC430 and the transformation my riding experience will undergo. Amazing service.

Thumbs up

I got them about two weeks ago and love 'em. Huge difference over the run flats.
What are you doing about a spare?

Will take my chances in town with a flat...
On longer trips I may get a can of tire inflater goop even if it mucks up the tire pressure sensor.

Ha ha. I did the same - ditch those runflats and cross your fingers you don't run into a flat!
