Default Are these tire too stretched for 10" rims?

Hey, guys I need your opinion/help. My first time stepping up to staggered wheels
Are these tires too stretched? I thought they would fit alittle better than they did. 18x10 and 265-35-18's Falken ZE-512. I finally got my Iforged's from getting clear coated . They were suppose to take 2-3 weeks but 2 1/2 months later G
I know most say go w/ 275 on 10" rim But I really liked the tires good performance tire that is decent in light snow. I don't plan on having out in the snow but in Colo.it can happen in March /April, 265 was the biggest in an 18" and all the wheel charts I saw show rim size range 9"-10"

First 6 hours of driving I nicked the rim edge turning out of a drive way ( no rubber rim protection)

I have 245's going on 10's and 275's going on 11's. It's soon time for me to drive like a grandma.

How did you nick the edge of the rim? You hit the side curb going up the driveway or you just touched the bottom of the driveway at the wrong angle? Sorry to see that nick, those rims look beautiful.

Calvin! with your offsets, go 245's front, and 265's rear

I would have personally gone with the 275 as well, but keep in mind that every tire manufactures runs slightly differently. The Falken brand is known to usually be undersized. Their 275 tire looks/fits like a 265 and others such as the Michelin tends to run bigger (275 looks/fits like 285)

So by you going with a 265 (already undersized) and the going with a Falken (even more undersized) the tire actually fits like a "standard" 255 tire.

Hope this makes sense...

I think they are too stretched but I like my tires sittin' straight up. I have 275's on 10" and I would like to go a bit wider. I like the way it looks when the tire is a bit fatter than the rim. But then again I am an old guy .

I agree with that look with the tire being fatter than the rim. And I'm 27. It's just more practical as well - don't have to worry about so much curb rash.

WOW ! and I thought mine were stretched I guess I should not complain. My fear is that I take a curve at high speed and the tire will come off the rim. I like performance and VIP but prefer slightly more performance.

Actually I got 2 nick spots I never felt or heard either of them. PIC 1 I noticed the first couple of hours after getting them mounted It is wierd whrere it is at. almost like the edge of the rim.. Boy was I depressed because I'm really **** about getting near any curbs
The only thing that comes to mind was a shollow pot hole ( about 2" dep 18" round) in the 7-11 lot that I drove thru very slowly.
PIC 2&3 I think I hit a small curb drop off at the wrong angle.

I'm an ole guy too we like hot car too The stretch but doesn't look as bad now but Ithink the fuller 275 looks better.
These would be great for someone w/18x9" or 18x9.5" wheels. I'm tempted to sell these cheap & get some 275's
Thanks for all the coments guys

I use 265's on my 19x10" Blitz Z3's and I have no problems. I'm also using Falkens.

Gill,

Try Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S. They offer an affordable 275 in 18" and they can be used in snow. High rated tire, seems to be great value.
