Hello everyone, I am new to the forums so please bear with me while I explain my situation. I have a 2003 Lexus GS 300 SportDesign. The gunmetal one with the titanium self-leveling HID's. Anyhow My Issues are this. I have a set of Lowenhart BR5's that are 5x112 (Fit for Benz) that I have had on my car the first week I had my car. The wheels are 20x9.5 and the tires were 255/35/20. Now (obviously) the lexus pattern is 5x114.3 and I have been told that if I can center them (hub centric rings) that it would eliminate the little bit of vibration that I had. I have had them completely rebuilt/refurbished by WRS in Santa Ana CA (Which might I add did the most beautiful job rebuilding them) However, I am having the most difficult time figuring out what size of rings i need. I know the lexus hub is 60.1mm and the Lowenhart center bore hole is ???mm. Thats the first issue. Second with 255/35/20 I just had mounted yesterday, I am very nervous that these will rub. They never rubbed before, but the tires i used to have on them we not new either. My tire guy recommended the 235/35/20 and I want a few other Lexus Owner's opinions on this size tire. He said it would be the "safest" but I want to make sure it isnt going to look stupid if it is stretched too far over the wheel (Like the old school 225/50/15 on a 15x10 wire) Those that are old school can apprecieate it. I took a few pictures with the wheels up next to the car so that you could see the colors. Please help me out someone...Someone that knows more and is more familliar than myself with this car.

The wheels are 20 x 9.5 all around? Sounds a bit wide for the front. Most here run 20 x 8.5 with 245/35/20 tires and run into no rubbing issues if the offsets are correct. You may want to come down to a 245/35/20 tire but it may be a bit stretched on the 9.5 rim. I am running 245/35/20 tires will about 1 finger gap in front and have no rubbing issues, although I did shave the plastic liner in the wheel well just a bit for the extra clearance

I don't even think the rims wil fit... hub rings doesn't help about bolt pattern....
and the front rims are too wide for 9.5X20... 9.5X19 maybe....
so good luck on fitting them..

So when a wheel is redrilled, it is redrilled from the back (correct)? So could that be done without messing up the paint/clearcoat that is on the front center piece? Thanks again for everyones input

My 2 cents worth.

Sell the wheels/tires and get a wheel that is appropriate for the car. Typically a staggered approach is used (narrow in front and wider in the rear). Redrilling wheels, concentric rings, etc. if not done right will simply make matters worse.

Put them up on eBay or some other forum.

anyway, 9.5 in the front is never an easy task. even with the right offset you probably have to do quite some fender mods in order for it not to rub. that's work there.

also, lowenhart bore, i would say it/s 73mm, but that's my guess

and last of all, i would suggest selling these and get something else too. i would never ever putl rims with the wrong bolt pattern to begin with

i have 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear, just last night as i was turning into my friends drive way my front left fender buckled because of the tires, just dropped it off at the shop, damgae was $380 repair and painted. 1 my car is too low, i was told if i wanted to keep my hight either got with 235/35/20 and only nitto makes them or go with the
perelli 235/30/20 f and 255/30/20 r
also what i was told that if i go with 235/35 it still might eatup the fenders going into driveways
i also dont really want to rais the car i like how low it right now
what do you guys think of the 30's

I havent lowered mine, and dont plan to so I might be Ok with the 235/35/20 Nitto's huh?

Can you show a pic from the front of the car looking down the side of the car so we can see how the wheel and tire sits in the wheel well? I agree with henry about selling the wheels and ordering new ones that are the proper offset and size, preferrable staggered because it looks sick on the GS

offset and the overspec tires (together with lowering) causes that problem. my wife blew my fender too when she went up the driveway a tad too fast and the tire caught the fender. i have been ok so far

the idea is to go at angle, and also very slow so the suspension doesn't compress much

Don't forget you got your ecu wiring right under the fender cover, don't mess them up!

Yeah I just ordered the 235/35/20 Nittos and having the 255's taken off. Is it going to look stupid with that 235/35/30 and 20x9.5?
