Default Rim opinions

Hey folks, just looking for some opinions on these rims. I like them but the debate with the wife is that although she likes them, they are not for a luxury car. I got them used with tires already mounted on them so the tires are a size too small. They are 19" RUFF 278's with 235/35/19 tires on them. Cheking around it seems like 235/45/19 are the right fit.

They're o.k., but nothing too dramatic or distinctive. Definately needs bigger tires. Perhaps if the spokes were a little thicker, they would be better. You really cant go wrong if you got a great deal on them.

Also, tint the car! It would really look great. The darker windows would complement the dark shadows behind the wheels since they're more exposed.

That's where the debate should end. It's your car... if you like them, then keep them. Just because they're not my style doesn't mean you should have to change. Do what makes you happy, cuz in the end that's the only person you have to answer to.

I agree with leets. If you like them that is all that counts. However I am pretty sure that you are unsure being that you are asking for others opinions.
IMO lowered with bigger tires will make a big difference

That kind of style is usually found on more sporty cars, but I still think they look alright on that car, & if you like it, it's all that matters.

Thanks for the replies, I was looking for some type of 5 spoke design to expose the drilled/slotted rotors I recently installed and yes I got a really good deal on them since these rims and tires were on my brother-in-laws IS300. The tires were already mounted on the rims and when we first put them on, I didn't expect to even be able to ride on them thinking it would be too harsh beacuse I needed 45's instead f the 35's. But after testing them and seeing how they looked the ride is not that bad at all, although not nearly as nice as the stock set-up. I like the look of the rims and the offset is perfect on the car, they are a keeper

Here is another question, Tirerack recommends 245/40/19 instead of a 235/45/19 is there much of a difference in height? I'm looking to smooth out the ride as much as possible. thanks

For luxary car, I would recomend something more bulky.

On my SC, I originally went with Maya GR5 but the spokes were to thin so I end up going with Work Exxe wheel (Euroline S2H). Looks much better.
