Default staggered wheels/tires Q

I think I'm right, just making sure. Q: Can you run staggered tires (ex. 225/front, 245/rear) if your wheels are not staggered (ex. 8/front, 8.5/rear)? I'm runnin' 8's (width) all the way around, so I believe I have to run the same tire size all the way around too, correct? Thanx.

You may want to have this question answered in the wheels and tires thread? (I don't see the benefit if your not running a staggered wheel set up?)-wringo

I'm about to run 235's all the way around from 225's (currently). I wanted to run 245's, but since I'm not staggered, I'd have to run 245's in the front too, and I KNOW I can't fit 245's up front. So, I'm prob stuck w/235's TOPS all the way around, due to the front. Thanx.

If the rims are the same spec all around, I'd run the same tire spec all around too. It keeps the tire diameter the same. The range of tires you can do on same-size rims are usually not wide enough to be able to go down a tire ratio to keep the outside diameters the same.
