Chains W/Winter tires?

So I was looking at chains for the SC400 the other day, and intersting thing I read on it that they are not sized to fit on winter tires. I have Yokaham AVS Winter performance tires I just put on it, and I'm looking for a little somthing extra while I'm out and about. Size is 215/55/16 On stock chrome 5 spokes. Anybody have any experience with this?
