Default could a 305/35/18 fit on the back of a sc300?

I just bought a 92 sc300 for a street/strip car and have been searching for wheel fitments. I've seen a few threads where people have fit 295/35/18's but no mention of 305/35/18's. Reason being, i'm looking to put drag radials on and would like wider tire. I've narrowed it down to a few rims and from what i've read i should go with a 18x11 or 18x10 but not sure what offsets yet. I'm looking at the nitto 555r 305/35/18 vs a bfg drag 295/35/18 if that helps.

I was also considering a wide 17" setup for weight savings, but i'm afraid they would look too small on the sc.

Thanks for any help!

Tony

just roll the wheelwell pinchweld and you'll be good to go,that is if you're going with wheels that are close to factory offset

Isn't the stock offset like +50? Wouldn't that stick out a lot?

from what i've been reading, people are running +38 on a 18x10 wheel and are fitting 285's.
