Wheel Question:
HAs anyone noticed a difference in ride quality when switching from a 20'' wheel down to 19'' wheel.. This thought has crossed my mind from stepping down to a 19'' wheel and tire I maybe driving the car everyday in the next few months and begining to think that the 20'' wheel is not practical for everyday use.... not that my wheels are ugly and don't look and the ride is terrible because its not.... just think that the 20'' wheel is more for show than go...I know alot of CL members have the 19'" staggered setup that seems ideal for everyday use.... Just some input on this would be cool....
I think the negative aspect of the Donz and my only complaint is that its a very heavy tire and wheel combo.... I wonder what a lighter 19'' wheel combo would feel like?
Thanks
Tony

actually going 19" will not notice much of a difference unless you go fat setup, and even still weight difference is not going to be enough to notice a big difference there either,,,,,,,,,the only way you are going to cut down on weight is to give yourself a much larger budget and go with a multipiece wheel,,,,,,just my 2 cents, hope it helps
by the way your car looks awesome with those wheels and it would be hard to get another to look nearly as good in or near that price range

you have driven in my car , you feel how quick and nimble the handling is.. 19 will give a slightly better ride then the 20's even without fat tire setup... but the daily driving is better on the 19in.. you have less rotaional mass to deal with and less mass overall to impact your suspension which translates into better handling.. 20's to me on certain wheels looks great on the gs but kill the overall perf aspect ... i have driven some members cars with 20in and i can feel the susp at its limits, i can feel the heaviness of the wheels and tires , way too much unsprung weight...
i went from 18in to 19in to achieve that balance in perf and looks.. my srr gt3 are considered lightweight esp to your donz wheels... if you go 19in make sure its a 10in out back and do a 285/30 tire , its slightly taller then the 275/30 and matches od of the front 245/35 and it will add back some ride comfort
