ummmm clearing big breaks depends on the dish of the wheel . many wheels will clear big breaks. what r u trying to find out exactly?

Specifically LS 400 brakes, I guess I wanna know what wheels can clear them.

It will depend on offset of the wheel, if you have LS brake kit, buy 18's with +35 or less offset wheels, you'll be fine.

Actually offset only plays a small part and disc type and wheel spoke design play bigger roles. Even with +35 offset, if the spokes curves inwards, you may still hit the calipers.

There are too many factors involved. You did not mention price range, wheel sizes, wheel styles, ... It would be hard for someone to suggest a wheel.

As a general rule, though, the lower offset numbers help. Spokes that curves more out then in help. Look for rims that are high disk.
