Default Which wheel locks to get?

Hey guys I just got some Axis Milano's 19's staggered set up from fellow member Effiney. I have the Mcguard wheel locks from the oem 17's on there for now (one per wheel). Will these wheelocks hinder theft or should I go with something else? What do you guys have to protect your wheels?

I have nothing, wheel theft isn't an issue here in Alaska. I can say the stock Lexus wheel locks can't be too much of a deterrent. My car came with those, but there was no "key" to remove them. When I had the winter tires mounted the tire shop removed them with no problem. They didn't have a "key" either and removed them in seconds.

umm i am curious, what kind of lug nuts you use for the axis? the oem 17s they use a very different type of lug nuts. for most wheels, they can't re-use the lugnuts/locks for oem 17s

I am using the lugnuts that came with the Axis Milano's I bought from Effiney. They are longer thatn the ones that came with the 17's. The wheel guy did point that out. I have a spacer on one of the front rims because apparently the offsets must be different. One of the originals were replaced, and probably he just ordered a new one without knowing the offsets. So which size wheelocks should i get to compliment those rims?

Acorn-style.....12 x 1.5 size.

Mcgard and Gorilla are both good. I prefer Gorilla ones with the spinning shell.

I could only watch thru the window but they placed a basic socket over the locking nut, smacked it with a hammer and put the air gun to it. Zipped right off.

or you could take all the lug nuts off except the lock and drive it around the block a few times to loosen it.
That's what I've been told...............

The proper name is Gorilla, not Guerilla. Their locks are the most secure, with the spinning shell, but if they really want your wheels they can still get them. You can force something into them to make them bind, then spin them off. The McGard can be removed by forcing a socket on over them.
