I have a set of winter rims and tires from the dealership, they have a 60.1 hub ring in them, and fit very good on the car. I recently just bought a set of rings for my summer rims and was sent a set of 60.06 rings.

Will the 60.06 fit? The package says GS300 but doesn't list a year range. I have a GS430.

I tried to hand fit them over the hub and they didn't seem like they would go with out a tap from a rubber hammer.

Whats the deal? Thanks.

you are fine, 0.04mm is too little to "tell"

So how do I put them on and take them off without breaking them? Rubber hammer and screwdriver? They do not slip easily over the hub.

check to make sure there is no rust on the hub heat. sometimes rust develop and make it very hard to put on and take off the rings.

i have the same kind of rings you have, and i can slide on and take off my rings easily by just shaking the rotor

There was a little rust. Ill try some wd40 and a wire brush. Just wanted to be sure they were not too small so that I can send them back (if they were the wrong size). As I will not be needing them till next summer.

You should be fine. I've actually seen the Lexus hub listed as 60.06. I always thought there was a nice symmetry about the number. Of course if you round to the tenths place (which sometimes people do), you get the 60.1 spec.

I am not 100% sure if they are different specs but I have always thought it depends on the level of precision the manufacturers (of the rings or any other related product) want to represent the number.

Not sure if its a precision thing. Like I said the 60.1 (metal) slid very easy over the rusted hub, and the plastic 60.06 seemed like I would need a hammer. When doing a ring to ring comparision I could feel the size difference with my finger.

What I have found to be easier is to put the ring onto the wheels first. Then carefully (as if you are not already ) put the wheels onto the car. With the weight of the wheels, the rings go on pretty easily.

I tried it both ways when I got my rings to go with my iForged. Ring onto hub is a little harder with a mallet. I tried this first and when I took the wheel off, the ring went with the wheel and did not stay on the car. Then I tried it on the wheels and then put the wheels on the car. Much easier. Either way, once the wheel comes off, the ring stayed with the wheels.

The more posts I read, the more I am second guessing the sizes. My AMEs are chrome, so the plastic hub ring fit very easy into the wheel, and I dont think there is any way that it will stay with the wheel after the wheel is removed. Too tight on hub and too loose or slick on the wheel. I guess the only way to find out if they are gonna work is to force them on there and see what happens. For the hefty price I paid ($30) for the rings I dont really want to break them, but I guess im out of options.

it's not uncommon for the rings to stay on the hub when you take off your wheels, happen to me ALL THE TIME.

i think neo just said it's easier to put the ring on the wheel first when you put it on
