wheel offsets and width for 06 Is 250/350?
just wanted to know if anyone could possibly tell me what the max offset and width combinations that can be used on the 06 IS 250/350. I have narrowed the closest tire in 19" to 225/35/19 Front and 265/35/19 or 275/30/19 Rear. I might just have to bite the bullet and have a local tire shop test fit some wheel/tire combos.

I had some up close & personal time with the IS 350 last weekend.
Lexus has done a funny thing and is using a 225/40-18 front tire and a 255/40-18 rear tire.
This means you'll need to use a taller rear tire to keep the ABS and TCS functions happy when using a plus size. The G35 Coupe and 350Z are similar to this. The OE rear wheels look lost- I am certain a 275 will fit on the rear- maybe wider.
I ran a few numbers:
OE front:
225/40-18 = 25.1" diameter
Front plus size:
225/35-19 = 25.2" diameter (.1" taller than OE, use with 265/35-19 if you can find it)
235/35-19 = 25.5" diameter (.4" taller than OE, use with 275/35-19)
245/35-19 = 25.8" diameter
245/30-20 = 25.8" diameter (.7" taller than OE, use with 285/30-20 rear)
OE rear:
255/40-18 = 26.0" diameter
Rear Plus size
255/35-19 = 26.0" diameter
265/35-19 = 26.3" diameter
275/35-19 = 26.6" diameter
285/25-20 = 25.6" diameter (too short)
285/30-20 = 26.7" diameter (.7 taller than OE, use with 245/30-20 front)
I need to get one of these cars for a test-fit, then we will know more.

and bob, so this is better than, coz' on the 1st gen IS, 275 was a little nightmare

im not too concerned with the tire sizes, but width and offsets are what im really worried about. i know that the 1g IS needed high offsets to fit a wider tire/wheel combo. wish i was on the other coast... im having a hard time finding someone that doesnt mind wasting time to test fit. thanks for all your input, maybe someone out there will chime in... or better yet have some pics.
