I think they are similar enough, at least that is the current public data. Some companies have already done measurements but that is not widely know public knowledge. The public numbers for the 2GS really only came from years of trial and error by many people.

If you have a set that fits the 2GS and it was not aggressive (to the fender, cutting/rolling involved), there is a very good chance it will fit the 3GS300. The 3GS430 fitment needs to take the larger front calipers into account.

What about factory 98-00 gs 4 wheels will they fit on 98 gs 300 without affecting mph abs or traction control?

You mean putting the OEM 17s onto a 98 GS300? If so, that should be fine.
