Snow tires
I am looking for a recommendation for snow tires for my 2004 GS300. Winter is coming soon to Mass. Should I put them on all four wheels? What is the best setting for driving in the snow, Power or Snow mode? Traction control on or off? This will be my first winter with this car.

First off, snowtires are highly recommended (and arguably absolutely necessary) if you intend to do any driving in snow/ice conditions. Personally, I'd recommend the Bridgestone Blizzak's (review ). I had them on my GS4 all last winter and had the opportunity to try them in several weather conditions from freezing rain/sleet, to ice covered streets with a dusting of snow. They performed grandly, even on hills were I was completely stopped, I was able to start and continue up hills (This was great as others watched you in disbelief).
Put the car in snow mode (starts and maintains you at a lower gear) and leave it there. Hope this helps.
BTW- 4 snow tires, not 2, are the way to go.

Well I just ordered 4 Michelin X-Ice snow tires from Costco. I could not pass up this deal $380 mounted , balanced, and with road hazard, after a $60 rebate from Costco. These tires were also highly rated by CR.
