Default What is the Difference between hand brake and brake

what exactly happens when u pull the handbrake?
and is it different on RWD cars and FWD cars?
what is the difference between the hand brake and teh brake?

? hand brake is only stopping the rear brakes while the normal brakes you are applying braking to all 4 corners (provided that vsc and such doesn't kick in)

also, on our rwd cars at least, the hand brake is actually kinda like a drum brake in the rear. it doesn't use the caliper braking
