hi... what do u guys do when u get a flat? do u throw the stock spare on? will the difference in sizing/offset be an issue?

i recently purchased a tire repair/inflation kit that contains a dunlop tire sealant and air compressor in one system because the subwoofer in the trunk has displaced the spare

i wouldn't use those tire sealant thing. i have heard on that low profile tires like what we have (19s, etc...) if you use those, the tire is gone

if you have 19s or so (with normal tire setup), even the stock spare should be fine. if you have 20s or 19s fat, then it's a problem. if youget a flat in the back, you should put a front wheel in the back and put the spare wheel in the front. having different diameter wheels in the back will put so much stress on the differential -- bad idea

ugh... i bought this because it was a product made by the dunlop tire company... i thought i was safe with this... my thought was that would they put something out that would damage tires when they sell tires themselves?

according to the instructions by dunlop the sealant is water-soluble and just washes out when u bring the tire in for repair.

interesting, maybe these will work i don't know, since they are from dunlop? but i was just talking about it in general. the tire shop basically told me that with the kind of profile wheels i am running, if there is a flat, get to the shop asap without much driving. if you need to drive, get the spare on asap. they said the problem is the profile being so low, sometimes the sealant can only hold a bit, and the heat generated inside when driving can easily damage the inners of the tires.
