Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Feedback
Thought I'd share my initial impressions.
Just put a set of the new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (245/40-18) on the front of my '99 GS400. Replaced my Michelin Pilot Sports (235/40-18) after approximately 25K miles.
The new PS2's, although pricey, are much smoother ridewise, quieter and sticker than the original Pilot Sports. They are 'non-directional' and therefore can be swapped (left-to-right or right-to-left) which should help normalize the 'in-board' wear problem due to chamber.
Although I priced them at Tire Rack, Costco, America Tire, etc I bought and had them installed by Globe Tire in Manhattan Beach, Ca. They had them in stock and matched my best price. They did a super job balancing and mounting. They use 'touchless' equipment; no wheel scratches, nicks, etc.
I'll be doing the rears (275/35-18) w/ PS2's in a few months when my existing Pilot Sports wear a little bit more and my 'piggy bank' is restocked.
