supra tt vs rotora 6pots

supra tt vs rotora 6pots
to those who have had the supra tt and moved on to bigger and better
comparing supra tt calipers to rotora 6pot calipers , which one do you think is bulkier .. i know the rotora is longer but to me it looks alittle slimmer than the supratt
i ask for i bought a set of the rotora bbk in 6pots on friday and i am worried about fit under my ssr gt3
they are 19x8.e +37 and a very high disk . i have 1/4 space left after mounting my supra tt so if the supra calipers are bulkier /wider then i can feel confident that i will fir the rotoras
any insight would be appreciated

Ed ,
the TT's are wider than the APracing, Brembo and Stop Techs. I had the TT before I switched to the APracing and I have more clearance now. On the wifey's IS the TT's wouldn't fit, but I test fit Brembos and bought Stop Techs and they both fit by the thickness of a dime.
Basically if the TT clears, I'd say any other brand of BBK will clear.
I won't PM you back since I've already answered here.

If you have that much space with the TTs, there is a good chance. I remember, though, when Rotora gave me a preliminary template for the 6-piston (It was not even for the GS. It was that preliminary. ), those calipers are huge. They were bigger (in terms of rim clearance) than the APs and Brembos. There are no accurate CAD TT templates so I could not compare them.

If your saying you have 1/4 inch( which is about 6mm of space) left over with the tt's than I would also think you should have no problem fitting them. Not sure if the 19x8 HD width vs a 20x8.5 hd width comes into play tho, you lose .5 in width of rim.

thanks for the input
my wheels are 19x8.5 and i checked and rechecked and i do i just a hare over 1/4 to spare after the supra calipers , so from what you and the rest of gurs are saying it looks like i have enough space , man i hope so for running a spacer even a small 3mm would kill me

we had about .75" of clearance on the Donz with no spacers or anything. Just bolted them on and that was it.
i also think the 6pots are slimmer than the TT / LS400 calipers, good luck

as far as the donz columbo's they were massive as far as space left over, no spacers needed at all. they had .75 inches left over up front AFTER my bbk and .5 inches in the rear AFTER my bbk. crazy amount of room with those.

i appreciate your help here
according to their chart i need 42.6 mm but from where to i need that. you said above 40-45mm but from where am i measuring . if i could get that answer then i can solve the big ??????
please help

if it says 42.6mm(1.7 inches) than thats from oem set up. I don't know exactly but when i did mine i went from the front of the oem caliper to the back of my rim. taking into consideration that the caliper will be sitting a bit more to the right cuz of the wider base rotor from 11.7 stock to 14.25 rotora or in your case a half inch or so more to thr right is where it will be sitting. I had 9mm of space between the front of my oem caliper and the back of my rim and when it said i needed 15.6mm to clear i did a 8mm spacer up front to clear giveing me about 2mm left over so our math worked, I think this is how you do it.
